The unveiling ceremony of the ASEAN (Guangxi) Synthetic Biology Concept Verification Center was grandly held at the Harworld Biological Cell Factory

On March 27th, the "ASEAN (Guangxi) Synthetic Biology Concept Verification Center," jointly established by Nanning Harworld Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Guangxi Institute of Green and Low Carbon Technology Research Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Application Research Co., Ltd., was officially unveiled and established at Harworld Biotech Plant B. The establishment of this center marks a crucial step forward for Guangxi in the transformation and industrialization of synthetic biotechnology achievements, injecting new impetus into the development of regional bioeconomy. The concept validation center plays a key role in the early stages of technology transfer, effectively bridging the gap between scientific research achievements and marketization, helping scientific research achievements cross the "valley of death" from the laboratory to the market, improving the success rate of technology transfer, promoting regional innovation and industrial upgrading, optimizing resource allocation, promoting the industrialization and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and playing an important role in the healthy development of the technology innovation ecosystem.

The ASEAN (Guangxi) Synthetic Biology Concept Validation Center focuses on the development needs of major fields such as biological resources and biotechnology in the autonomous region. It provides a series of concept validation services for advanced biotechnology research institutions and enterprises inside and outside the region, including principle validation (innovative concept principle analysis, technical feasibility study), technology validation (prototype manufacturing, technology integration, performance evaluation, secondary development, small batch trial production), commercial validation (business consulting, scientific and technological achievement evaluation, entrepreneurial incubation, industrial development fund, etc.), to assist in the transfer and transformation of advanced biotechnology achievements and industrial incubation development in Guangxi region.

At the unveiling ceremony, representatives of the co construction units jointly stated that the center will closely focus on national policy guidance, actively implement the "14th Five Year Plan" for the technology factor market, respond to the call of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on "deepening the reform of the mechanism for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements", and strive to create a comprehensive and end-to-end support platform for the transformation of biotechnology achievements in Guangxi and even the ASEAN region.
